What to expect
Taking the first step towards therapy can be difficult, but we are here for you.
Therapy can be both short term and long term work.
Short term therapy can help with current issues you are experiencing, whilst longer term therapy helps address underlying problems in order to facilitate long term change. Therapy should never make you dependent, but independent so that you recognise the internal resources within you.
Therapy is not an ordinary appointment - consistency and commitment to appointments are very important.
Each session is 50-minutes long, on a weekly basis. Therapy that works is based on the quality of the relationship between the client and therapist, that must be founded upon confidentiality, non-judgmental and warmth.
